Experience an old-fashioned Christmas at Hearthside House in Lincoln, a historic home that welcomes visitors for several memorable events during the holiday season.
Built by Stephen Hopkins Smith in 1810, the historic home earned its moniker due to its 10 fireplaces.
For the first two weekends in December, Hearthside House celebrates an Old-Fashioned Christmas. Stroll through the historic home that’s decked to the nines with elegant Christmas decorations.
The festive celebration is held on Saturday and Sunday, December 10-11, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Along with seasonal music, the Christmas celebration will also feature an appearance by Santa, who will listen to Christmas wishes and pose for photos. Tasty refreshments will also be available.
Stroll just down the road to Pullen's Corner Schoolhouse, too, on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The one-room schoolhouse will feature a children’s Christmas pageant.
Hearthside House also hosts Home for the Holidays, set for December 28 and 30, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and offers another opportunity to admire the breathtaking Christmas decorations.
Embark on a candlelight tour, led by docents dressed for the time period, of the historic home. Docents will share the history of Hearthside House, including offering insight into the 11 families who lived here.
