Is there anything more magical than the holidays in New England? The brisk chill in the air, snow gently falling, lights absolutely everywhere, it feels like something straight out of a movie. There are so many exciting things to do and see during this season, but one event that we think is unmissable are the Night Lights at Blithewold Mansion.
Blithewold Mansion is Bristol is a breathtaking old mansion built in the 1800's. Nowadays it functions as a sort of living museum and welcomes visitors year round.
The gardens at Blithewold are stunning all throughout the year, and perfect for a stroll .
But colorful flowers are replaced with entrancing lights all across the grounds when the holiday season arrives.
All throughout the gardens there are large light displays as well as handmade bamboo ornaments in the trees, so make sure to look up!
You can also get apple cider, hot chocolate, and coffee to sip as you stroll. There may even be some drinks with a kick to be found.
Allow yourself about an hour to enjoy the lights and listen to the carolers, this is an experience that cannot be rushed!
What a gorgeous way to celebrate this holiday season! Night lights run every Wednesday through Sunday from November 26th to January 9th between 5 and 7 p.m. You can grab your tickets ($10 for adult non members $5 for children non members,) at the Blithewold mansion website, and give their Facebook page a follow as well for extra information and any updates.
