On those lovely weather days, sit in the gondola car, where you can feel the breeze in your hair and the golden sunshine on your skin as the colorful landscape rolls by.
Journey back a century and a half, or at least feel as though you have, when you set off on a picturesque train-ride with Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad.
If you arrive at the Perry Street Station early for your trip, spend a few minutes exploring the Museum. There, you will learn about the history of the railroad in Pennsylvania, particularly in Titusville.
Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad offers scenic train rides and special events throughout the year. For a unique view of your journey, grab a space in the gondola car.
The open-air gondola provides sweeping views of the landscape and allows you to breathe in the fresh air. However, it's only open on good weather days.
During your ride, you'll probably also want to make your way to the Railway Post Office Car. Mail a postcard from the car, which is the sole remaining postal car in the United States.
Regular train rides span a leisurely three hours as the train chugs through oil country. Special events range from the Peter Cottontail Express at Easter to Fall Foliage Rides in October.
If you're hungry or thirsty, you can buy snacks and drinks in the post office car. Or, you can grab a bite to eat from the concession stand at Perry Street Station.
