Shopping malls certainly have met their match when it comes to the internet. Ordering online equals convenience. What if you like getting out and browsing shops, but you’re not really a fan of the traditional mall experience? Easy. Set off for Bakery Square in Pittsburgh, a complex of shops, restaurants, and businesses.
Tucked in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Bakery Square is home to a smattering of shops and restaurants in an open air setting. Stroll from shop to shop, enjoying the fresh air, all year around.
If you’re visiting the Pittsburgh area, you can even check into the lush Marriot Springhill Suites, right in the complex. A luxury apartment complex sits across the street from Bakery Square.
Carve out a morning or an afternoon to explore the eclectic collection of shops, including Anthropologie. The charming shop sells everything from dresses and shoes to accessories and furniture.
If you’ve brought the kids along, stop by Learning Express Toys. The toy store offers something for kiddos of all ages, whether you’re on the hunt for Beanie Boos or fun experiments the whole family can enjoy.
Bakery Square is also home to other shops, including West Elm, Free People, and Ragged Row.
Grab a bite to eat, too, at Panera Bread, Jimmy John’s Sandwiches, or Social at Bakery Square.
Don’t worry about paying high parking fees, either. You’ll receive two hours of free parking at Bakery Square Monday through Friday before 5 p.m. After 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and on weekends, you can park for free for up to three hours.
