We all deserve a little time for ourselves, to relax, to enjoy conversations with our friends, and to even sip a glass or two of wine. Fortunately, we have an abundance of places to relax in Pennsylvania. For a unique experience, however, grab your closest friends and plan a day of candle-making and sipping wine at Paddywax Candle Bar in Pennsylvania.
Plan an unforgettable experience with your best friends or family at Paddywax Candle Bar in Pennsylvania, where you can pair wine (or pop, if you prefer not to drink alcohol) and making your own candle.
Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate in the one-hour candle pouring session that includes making one candle for each participant. (You can make a second candle for an additional fee.)
Your adventure begins by choosing a vessel, what you want to hold your candle. Choose from an assortment of vessels, 65 in all, from food-safe bowls to jars.
Then comes the really fun and challenging part — deciding what type of fragrance you want for your candle. You’ll have 40 fragrances from which to choose.
Once you’ve made your decisions, pour a glass of wine, and pour your candle. The whole experience lasts about an hour, and you can pick up your finished candle after it has cooled for three hours.
Candle pouring costs $40 per person. Paddywax strongly recommends reserving a seat ahead of time to ensure you get a spot on the day and at the time you want.
Kids under five are not permitted in the area; children 10 and older can participate but must be accompanied by an adult.
Guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol, although you’ll have to pay an $8 corking fee. (Contact the shop ahead of time to see if they’ll have wine and beer for sale if you prefer to buy it there.)
