Our need for adventure, especially one that involves camping, doesn't stop just because the seasons change. Camping under a starry sky is just as magical during the balmy evenings of summer as it is during the snowy nights of winter. Our biggest challenge to camping in the off-season is usually finding a campground that's open year-round. This year-round campground in Montgomery, Pennsylvania, however, welcomes guests in all four seasons, making it a bucket list must for any avid camper.
Feel all the stress of daily life start to melt away when you see the sign that welcomes you to Riverside Campground in Montgomery, just about a 10-minute drive from Williamsport.
Snuggled along the Susquehanna River, this year-round campground in Pennsylvania was made for relaxation, whether you're parking your RV during the coldest days of winter or pitching a tent by the river for a summer adventure.
The 135 campsites for RVs include riverfront spots, premium pull-through sites, and full hookup sites near the local park. You can also pitch a tent near the water.
While reservations are necessary if you plan to bring an RV or stay in a cabin, you don't need to worry about that if you're tent camping. Tent camping is primitive, which means there is no water or sewage.
For a cozy camping adventure, book one of the mini cabins, large loft cabins, or full-service cabins. Cabins are available seasonally from April 15 through October 15.
While the off-season is typically quieter, you'll find plenty to do during the summer. Lounge by the pool then cool off in the clear water.
Explore the Susquehanna River; play volleyball, or perfect your swing at the batting cage.
