To 1863. The shop has seen plenty of changes during its history, including transferring ownership from the Shane Family to the Berley Brothers in 2010.
The Berleys restored the classic candy shop, hosting a grand reopening just a year later, in 2011.

Tour the shop. The Shane Confectionery Classic Tour will give you a peek into how the candy kitchen is run and into the rich history of candy.
Tours cost $10 per person and are offered at various times throughout the year.
You can't visit an old-fashioned chocolate shop without stocking up on mouthwatering chocolate, can you? Try such favorites as chocolate-covered marshmallows and house milk chocolate bars.

All that candy have your mouth watering? Head to Shane Chocolate Works, where you can treat yourself to an authentic hot drinking chocolate.

If you want to try several different hot chocolate drinks, check the events calendar for public tastings. Or, you can sign up for a private tasting with a group of friends or family.
If you want a private tasting, you must have a group of at least six.
Feel like a kid in a candy store when you visit Shane Confectionery, open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
