Waterfalls just might be nature's most perfect creation. Some require a lot of physical effort and stamina just to get to them to admire their sheer beauty. Dry Run Falls, a beautiful waterfall in Pennsylvania, isn't one of those waterfalls. In fact, you can admire it from your car or simply walk up to it to feel the mist of its spray.
Nestled in Loyalsock State Forest in Sullivan County, Dry Run Falls just might be one of the most easily accessible waterfalls in Pennsylvania.
If you're driving down Dry Run Road, off of PA Route 87, in fact, you'll have no trouble catching a glimpse of it from your car.
However, if you'd like to stop, stretch your legs, and snap photos of the 20-foot waterfall, you can do that, too.
Just pull off into the small parking lot to drop off your car, and follow the sound of the gushing water. (You'll be able to see the waterfall from the parking lot, too.)
To see the waterfall at its fullest, try to visit after a good rainfall, particularly during the springtime and in the fall.
If you've got some free time, bring along lunch. Right near the parking lot, you'll find picnic tables where you can eat and drink in the beautiful views of Dry Run Falls.
