There's nothing more magical at Christmastime than watching children's faces light up with joy when they see Santa Claus. If you have little ones in your life, you'll want to book some tickets for the Train to Christmas Town with the Mt. Hood Railroad this season.
All aboard the Train to Christmas Town! You're about to embark on the most incredible journey you'll take during the holidays.
As the train pulls away from the station, Santa's helpers will fill the aisles to entertain you.
Sing along to your favorite songs, and watch for the postman to come through to gather your letters to Santa so he can deliver them.
You'll certainly want a copy of the book "The Train to Christmas Town," or its sequel, "All Aboard The Train to Christmas Town."
One of the characters from the book might even read it to you as you ride! You can purchase copies of the book when you book your ticket, or at the railroad's gift shop.
Listen for the "Chocolate Christmas" song, which means that it's time for cookies and cocoa. Enjoy your tasty holiday treat, because you've almost arrived at Christmas Town.
Soon, you'll pull up to the beautifully-lit town where Santa lives. The location of Santa's town is top-secret, so don't tell anyone!
Santa will climb aboard to say hello and bring you a present.
Passengers can enjoy seats in Diamond, First Class, or Standard Class.
Those in Diamond and First Class will be seated in booth-style seating with tables, and will receive a commemorative mug with their hot cocoa. Standard Class passengers will sit in regular railroad seats in rows. All passengers will receive a special gift from Santa.
The Train to Christmas Town experience lasts about an hour and half, and passengers of all ages are welcome. The train runs Saturday, November 23rd through Sunday, December 9th.
Visit Mount Hood Railroad's website to book your ticket, and do so soon - they sell out fast! You'll also want to pop over to the railroad's Facebook page to see other events and more fun photos.
