For a fun, fall adventure, head for the mountains and go up amongst the tree tops. When you take a zip line canopy tour at Pumpkin Ridge during autumn months, you’ll be surrounded by rich, vibrant colors. Take a look:
Pumpkin Ridge Zip Tour is different than many adventure companies because it's open year-round. These folks don't let a little bit of weather deter them - they offer canopy tours even over Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks!
Address: 22616 NW Pumpkin Ridge Road, North Plains, OR 97133
Gather your friends and head to North Plains, just 35 minutes or so west of Portland. When you time your visit to coincide with the changing leaves, you'll be surrounded by vibrant hues.
Your guides will make sure that you're hooked up with all the safety gear you need, and will accompany your group on the entire tour. There's a maximum of eight people per tour, with two guides.
Make sure to layer up for your tour. Even in the summer, the temperatures here can be 10 degrees cooler than Portland. You'll also want to wear sturdy shoes like hiking boots. You can bring a water bottle and some snacks along, too.
For tours later in the year, give the company a call to see what days they'll be arranging winter tours.
