The holiday season is officially in full swing here in Oregon. And if you're like most Oregonians, you're probably wanting to enjoy some fun holiday outings. This year, one destination that deserves to be at the top of your list is the Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights in Roseburg. This enchanting annual event features a magical holiday village, a dazzling light show with 500,000 Christmas lights, and the world's tallest nutcracker.
Take a look:
For more than 25 years, the Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights has been a magical holiday tradition in the Beaver State. 2024 marks the festival's 32nd year, and we couldn't be more excited!
One of the most breathtaking parts of the festival is the holiday lights drive-through. It contains 90 light displays with 500,000 glittering lights.
This Christmas village in Oregon is open from November 24, 2024 until January 1, 2025. Get tickets to the Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights on their website. One ticket allows one car visit to the festival plus one visit to the Holiday Village.
Hours for the drive-through light display:

- 5:30- 10 pm Friday and Saturday
Holiday Village hours:
- 5:30 - 9 pm Thursdays and Sundays

The Holiday Village is closed Monday — Wednesday.
Santa Claus will be at the Holiday Village every evening until Christmas Eve (he’s very busy on Christmas Eve, obviously). Photos with Santa are free!
Guests will also be able to write a letter to the North Pole, too! You won't want to miss checking out the epic model train set. There are also cookies, candies, and warm cider available for purchase in the village.
And of course, no visit to the Festival of Lights is complete without meeting Herr Winterguard, the world's tallest nutcracker. He measures in at 41 feet tall!
There will be special nights planned, and you'll want to follow Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights on Facebook to stay up to date on any upcoming events.
The Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights is located at 380 River Forks Park Rd., Roseburg, OR 97471. Have you been here before? If so, we'd love to hear from you!
