Wishing for the best soft pretzel of your life? Head to Northeast Portland's Fressen Artisan Bakery and Cafe for pillowy pretzels, unique breads, and so much more. I first discovered this German Bakery In Oregon at a Portland farmer's market. After my first bite, I was hooked!
Now, whenever I drive by, I stop in for a few soft pretzels — but usually end up with several other types of baked goods, too.
This German bakery on Northeast Glisan Street is easy to miss as you drive by but it is definitely worth a visit.
The big, soft pretzels at this bakery must be the best in Oregon ... if not the whole country!
The welcoming shop sells a variety of pretzel items, such as pretzel bread and pretzel bagels.
You can also enjoy your pretzel as part of a sandwich.
Quiche, lox on a bagel, and coffee are among the other menu items.
Fressen Artisan Bakery and Cafe also makes delicious pastries.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating available.
You'll find a rotating array of danishes, croissants, cakes, and other treats in the bakery case.
Yum!
