Trapper's Fishcamp & Grill is a fun place to visit, not only for its unique fishing-lodge atmosphere but for its wacky good menu. Here, you'll find menu items like blackened alligator, quail, and crispy hens. Food descriptions are called things like "Field & Swamp" and "Yard and Pen" but don't let them fool you. The food here is amazing and you'll want to pay them a visit the next time you're in Oklahoma City.
Trapper's Fishcamp & Grill is located near the Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. They have been serving their wacky menu since 1994 and we think you'll love it.
The atmosphere boasts a fishing lodge vibe with game trophies, real canoes, an alligator tank, and lots of animals.
They are known for having fun and creative dishes that are always fresh and delicious. Some patrons say they have the best prime rib in the state.
But, if you're looking for more adventurous food, they have you covered. At Trapper's, you can order fried or blackened alligator as an appetizer or order the Alligator dinner that comes with dirty rice and a Creole Meuniere sauce.
Or choose the delicious, marinated BBQ quail. You can order it mesquite fired or breaded & fried...either option will send your taste buds in a frenzy.
Other tasty menu options include fried catfish, oysters, shrimp, and homemade Cajun tater tots.
On your way in or out, be sure and take a photo with the giant, 12-foot Kodiak bear. He's fierce-looking so watch your back.
