The Forty Foot Hole in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife is a hidden gem that rarely gets seen in person because it's only accessible by hiking to it. The trail with a waterfall is inside the canyon walls and was carved by Cache Creek running through it.
The fastest route to the waterfall is by taking Kite Tail. This is part of the Dog Run Hollow trail system. The easiest way to find the trailhead is to stop at the visitor center and get a map and they'll show you the best route to these unique waterfall trails in Oklahoma.
While these Oklahoma trails are only 2.4 miles roundtrip and rated as easy, there are cliffs and rocky terrain too. Therefore, I encourage you to take note that it is not all flat and to wear proper shoes.
Be sure to carry the trail map with you since some of the side trails can get you closer to Cache Creek Falls than others.
The hike along these waterfall trails in Oklahoma will take you about two hours. However, allow some extra time to enjoy the scenery and waterfall.
