School is out, and lots of moms and dads (and grandparents) are looking for creative ways to keep the kiddos busy this summer. Tulsa Children's Museum Discovery Lab is a perfect distraction that aims to both entertain and educate, all at the same time. Discovery Lab offers fun, hands-on activities for children from pre-k to 6th grade. There are daily tickets available as well as seasonal membership passes...so sign up today.
Tulsa Children's Museum Discovery Lab is located in Tulsa's historic Owen Park and is open daily until 5:00 p.m.
Children can learn so much here...this interactive map of Oklahoma shows the history of the Sooner State in an all-new way.
Here is yet another awesome display...the kids get to walk on this lava floor while learning all about volcanoes.
This "tape tunnel" is one of the most played on and popular exhibits; over 10 miles of tape was used to complete this one.
One thing parents really like about the Discovery Lab is the hands-on learning that takes place. The studies show learning while involving your hands helps the information be remembered much easier.
No museum experience is complete without dinosaurs. These guys make noises and move and seem very lifelike.
As of Fall 2021, Discovery Lab will have an all-new home. They are currently building a new 50,000 sq. ft. facility located at The Gathering Place in Tulsa.
