If you've already purchased pumpkin spice everything, then you're probably wondering when the leaves are going to start to change. Autumn in Ohio is a particularly beautiful time. Our state parks are set ablaze with color and the back roads come alive with vibrant shades of red, yellow and orange.
If you’re wondering exactly when and where are the best times and places to view fall foliage in Ohio this year, you’ll want to check out the following 2018 predictions from Smoky Mountains.
The 2018 Fall Foliage Prediction Map is an interactive tool that predicts when and where the maximum fall foliage will be across the U.S.
The map above shows the predictions for the fourth week in October. As you can see, this is near peak and peak season for Ohio.
During the fourth week of October, northeast Ohio will especially be ablaze with vibrant fall colors.
The end of October and the first few days of November will be the peak time for fall color in the southern and western portions of the state.
If you're in northeast Ohio around peak time, the best place to see the most fall foliage all in one place is within Cuyahoga National Park.

Throughout the rest of Ohio, you can't go wrong with visiting the state park nearest you. Each once will be exceptionally beautiful during the fall season.
