The power of the Great Falls of Tinker's Creek was harnessed between 1821-1913 for use in a sawmill, grist mill, and electric power plant. Today, lush greenery abounds all throughout the park, and you can admire it by traversing a series of walking paths.
You'll see the ruins of the old mills, plus a viaduct that used to carry trains.
Informational signs that delve into the park's history are placed all over, so it's an educational experience and scenic outdoor adventure all in one.
The viaduct opened all the way back in 1865 and crosses over the Tinker's Creek gorge.
It has remained surprisingly intact despite being over 150 years old!
