Being stuck at home doesn't have to be a bore. Due to the recent events surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, many attractions and museums around Northern California have started offering ways to virtually experience their destinations. Even the famous Winchester Mystery House has unveiled a virtual tour of one of the most iconic Bay Area landmarks. Available now through April 7, you can get a look at this historic destination from the comfort of your own home, so put on some sweatpants and settle in. There's simply no reason NOT to embark on this virtual access tour of the always amazing Winchester Mystery House.
Like many attractions across Northern California, the beloved Winchester Mystery House in San Jose is currently closed until further notice. However, that doesn't mean you can't still experience the house's bizarre mysteries for yourself. In fact, you can do so from the comfort of your own home.
About a week ago, Winchester Mystery House officially published their very first virtual access tour of this iconic destination. This way, you can explore the secrets of the historic house while safely practicing social distancing. That's a win-win for us!
The virtual tour is free to access from the Winchester Mystery House website. It's only available until April 7, so you'll want to get on it soon if you'd like to see it for yourself. Hey, it's not like you're all that busy hanging out at home, right?
The video tour is approximately 40-minutes long and it's actually quite informative. Not only will you physically get to see all of the house's most prominent features, but you'll also learn about the history of it as the personal residence of Sarah Winchester, the widow of firearm magnate William Wirt Winchester.
The Winchester Mystery House is a true architectural wonder—even photos of it are utterly fascinating. However, it's the history behind this iconic destination that makes it so worth seeing for yourself. There are definitely a lot of mysteries and secrets surrounding the Winchester House and what went on inside of it, which just adds to the structure's strange allure.
The virtual tour is a great way to experience this fascinating destination from your home, but nothing compares to actually seeing it in person. That's why the Winchester Mystery House is offering a special voucher to see the house whenever you'd like for only $26 (that's $13 off the regular box office price.) Once the attraction reopens, these vouchers are good for any time through May 1, 2021.
Supporting our favorite NorCal attractions is more important than ever these days, and you can do so by picking up a few vouchers to visit Winchester Mystery House for future use. We can't wait to see this unique destination in person again, but for now the virtual access tour will have to do!
