All aboard the boba tea train! Taste boba teas from a variety of stores around the Sacramento area on board a train. Yes – ride an actual train around the West Sacramento area. And you can sit inside or outside of the train. Either way, you can enjoy views of Sacramento and the Sacramento River. This boba tea train in Northern California is one of the sweetest events around!
The Boba Tea Train in Northern California takes place on a Saturday once a month.
It is operated by the Sacramento RiverTrain. There are two train rides available on Saturdays, one at 3 p.m. and one at 6 p.m. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours.
The sweet boba tea drinks come in many flavors.
There are milk teas as well as fruit-flavored teas, both sweetened and unsweetened, and from the classic Thai iced tea, to taro tea, and many other tea flavors. Even if you are a coffee drinker, you will love these!
Guests do not receive full-sized Boba drinks, but the samples are pretty large and have a lot of tapioca pearls.
This fun activity is a great way to support local Sacramento businesses and try some delicious drinks.
All boba tea drinks are non-alcoholic.
In addition to the tea, guests can pre-order dumplings and mochi donuts when purchasing tickets. What better to go with boba than homemade dumplings and donuts?
There will be additional beverages available for purchase on the train as well.
Please note that no outside food is allowed on the train. Additionally, parking near the train station is free. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes on the train ride.
Arrive at least 30 minutes early to check in and board the train.
Tickets are $59 for ages 13 and up and children ages 3-12 tickets cost $29. The boba train is free for children two and under. (Note that Late guests will not receive a refund).
