Icelandic State Park is a beautiful spot in North Dakota that looks especially nice when the snow starts falling. On November 17th, 2019, they'll be hosting a special holiday event so you can enjoy both the scenery and much more.
The park's annual Christmas Open House will be happening that day from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Pioneer Heritage Center, a building in the park, will be decked out with Christmas trees, lights, and more mesmerizing decorations.
The building is a museum with lots of exhibits about life on the prairie and North Dakota's history, and throughout the rooms, there will be pretty trees set up and decorated by local sponsors. You can take a walk through Christmas past and learn as well as enjoy the displays.
Along with the decorations, there will be live music, talks, and refreshments being served. Plus, plenty of Christmas cheer to go around!
You can also stop by the center's gift shop and maybe pick up a few gifts for family and friends for the upcoming holidays. All the while, you'll be surrounded by gorgeous holiday lights.
While you're there, you can enjoy the winter scenery. It is set to be fairly cold out that day, so if you plan on enjoying the winter trails, make sure to bundle up.
