Enjoy the serenity of an untouched stretch of the Missouri River at Cross Ranch State Park. You could camp under the stars if you wanted to, but this park also has plenty of accommodations for those who prefer otherwise. Cabins like the York Cabin have a full kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, living room, heat, and A/C, while also providing you with a grill and fire ring so you can still get some of that authentic camping experience. There are other cabins available and even a yurt. The Pretty Point Yurt has everything the York Cabin has but in a permanent tent. Now that's camping in style!

The truly incredible Lake Metigoshe State Park is a getaway everyone should want to take. Not only is the area breathtakingly gorgeous and serene, it also has some of the best camping in the state. The park has quite a few cabins available for all levels of comfort. You could stay at the Osprey Cabin, a more primitive cabin that can only be hiked or biked to.
