In terms of dining out, when it comes to experiencing something different...we might find ourselves in a food rut. Frequenting the same restaurants time and time again, or even not knowing which new ones to even try. One way to spice up your weekend or even travel plans is dining with an incredible view. While there are some amazing restaurants with a view in North Carolina, a rooftop view is an atmosphere unlike any other. These 10 restaurants in North Carolina will give you that unique experience.
1. Fahrenheit, Charlotte
Fahrenheit is the perfect place for upscale, innovative dining with breathtaking views of the Queen City.
2. Solas, Raleigh
Solas is a trendy restaurant and cocktail bar. Perfect for girl's night out or a unique, romantic date night.
3. Famous Toastery, Winston-Salem
The delicious brunch spot, Toast, opened their new Winston location in the former District Rooftop Bar and Grill Space. Now, those dining on Trade St. can enjoy brunch with a view.
4. Social Lounge, Asheville
If you're visiting Asheville or live there, it's easy to understand the amount of amazing restaurants you have to choose from. One with a view is Social Lounge, perfect for a sunny day, nice night, or even just watching the sunset with some cocktails and tapas.
5. Peculiar Rabbit, Charlotte
This three-level restaurant offers something different with each level. A comfortable bar and dining area, a space for entertaining or parties, and the third level is pure rooftop with amazing skyline views of Charlotte. It's great for brunch on a sunny day, drinks at night, and perfect for photo ops.
6. Top of the Hill Restaurant and Brewery
Maybe you want to cheer on the crowd after a UNC win, or you're looking to have a drink or bite to eat somewhere unique - Top of the Hill is by far one of the coolest places in Chapel Hill.
7. Rudino's, Raleigh
Rudino's has more of a bar feel, but it's great for spring and summer nights. The food is American fare - but still delicious. You can't beat the atmosphere here!
8. Reel Cafe, Wilmington
Reel Cafe is a great restaurant with burgers, raw oysters, and plenty of fresh seafood. But the rooftop bar is a lively place with gorgeous riverfront views.
9. Captain Ratty's Seafood, New Bern
Captain Ratty's fits in with the quaint, historic New Bern...but the rooftop dining doesn't get more coastal than this. Try the low country broil or shrimp n' grits.
10. Whiskey Warehouse, Charlotte
Before Peculiar Rabbit or Fahrenheit, Whiskey Warehouse was the place to go for a relaxed atmosphere with great CLT skyline views. On the weekends, the bar can get quite packed...but it's so much fun. If you're looking for a more relaxed meal...go on a weekend day or weekday.
Now I'm ready to sip a Moscow Mule and eat some tapas on a trendy rooftop. What about you? Have you dined at any of these places or have a few more you'd like to add to the list?
