They combine fresh toppings and put it on a frozen grill where it flash freezes, then they hand-roll each serving. One unique aspect is that everything here is made to order. You can watch the entire process from start to finish with your very own eyes.

Rolled ice cream originates in East Asia and is known as 'stir-fried' ice cream. This trend is slowly taking rolled roots in the U.S. Ice Scraperz is one of only a few shops in the entire country serving the sweet treat in its traditional style.

2. Jolly Rolls Ice Cream, Charlotte

Just when you thought you couldn't get enough rolled ice cream, Jolly Rolls in Charlotte elevates the game with decadent, sinful toppings and even rolled ice cream between two waffles!

The 'jolly waffle rolls' aren't a regular menu item but are featured sporadically at certain locations. The best way to ensure you get your hands on this next-level sweet treat is to follow Jolly Rolls on social media.

Jolly Rolls uses the same flash freezing, hand-roll technique as Ice Scraperz. The Matthews location makes it easy for both Charlotteans and those in surrounding areas to try this Asian-inspired dessert that I predict will soon take over ice cream shops everywhere!
