The adventure begins with a swinging bridge to cross over to the front door of this charming treehouse located on 14 acres in Old Fort, North Carolina.
Step inside to discover a well lit, bright and modern cozy abode that's the perfect size for two people.
This one-room accommodation in the trees includes a queen bed, complete with luxurious bedding.

A set of stairs leads to another kind of sanctuary underneath the treehouse...
Whether it's after a long drive to reach this woodsy accommodation or the two of you have been hiking all day, time spent in the hot tub will be positively amazing.
You won't find many treehouses in South Carolina that are quite as secluded or that offer such modern luxuries.
The only thing that isn't technically modern is the shower and toilet. Guests have a private outdoor shower on the upstairs deck. And behind the door shown here...
... is a composting toilet.
Other amenities offered at this treehouse include Wi-Fi, cable TV, air conditioning and heat, and self check-in, so you can arrive at a time that works for your travel distance.
If you want to get out and explore the area, be sure to head to historic downtown Old Fort to see the hand-chiseled arrowhead in the middle of town.
This monument was placed in 1930 in front of the train depot. The arrowhead was chiseled from a single block of granite and is 25 feet tall. Today, it sits next to the Chamber of Commerce.
Also, any visit to Old Fort would not be complete without a visit to witness Andrews Geyser.
This man-made, gravity-powered geyser has a fascinating history. In the winter its water flow often freezes and creates a huge mountain of ice.
As a mere point of reference to where you may reside, Old Fort is under two hours northwest of Charlotte, 30 minutes east of Asheville, and only 10 minutes from Black Mountain, North Carolina.
