1. Bechtler Museum of Modern Art

The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is a wonderful place to indulge your inner artist. This 36,500-square-foot museum is dedicated to the exhibition of mid-20th century modern art this is where you will see masterpieces from artists like Alberto Giacometti, Andy Warhol, and Pablo Picasso.

2. NASCAR Hall of Fame

The NASCAR Hall of Fame offers the quintessential Southern experience. A museum that honors some of the most accomplished NASCAR drivers in the nation, this is a great place for car racing fanatics and diehard NASCAR fans. The Hall also has a 278 seat theater in which they show movies and host NASCAR viewing parties on a regular basis.

3. Discovery Place

Discovery Place is a science and technology museum in Uptown Charlotte that kids and adults will both love. Featuring exhibits for all ages, visitors will learn about everything from biodiversity of the Earth's rainforests and oceans to the innovations of Leonardo da Vinci.

4. Belk Theater at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center

The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center is the place to go if you want to see a Broadway show in Charlotte. Belk Theater at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center seats 2,118 people and ensures that Charlotte residents have an amazing place to experience live theater. Upcoming shows at the Belk Theater include The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, and more.

5. Romare Bearden Park

Romare Bearden Park is a 5.4-acre public park nestled in the heart of Uptown near the BB&T Baseball Stadium. Featuring two gardens, a courtyard with dining tables, and a play area complete with a splash pad and multiple waterfalls, this place makes the perfect spot for a Saturday afternoon picnic or play date.

6. Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts + Culture

The Harvey B. Gantt Center is yet another amazing Charlotte museum that threads together the cultural fabric of our city. Celebrating the contributions of Africans and African Americans to our culture, this museum shares the stories of many African American artists, writers, dancers, and musicians to identify their impact on the city and on the world.

7. The Green

The Green is a fantastic little park in Uptown Charlotte that pays tribute to many famous literary scholars. Unique sculptures are scattered throughout the 0.5-acre park, making it a fun place to walk through whenever you are in the area.

8. The Mint Museum Uptown

The Mint Museum Uptown is a 145,000-square-foot space that is home to some of the most amazing collections of American, European, and Contemporary Art. Each Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., admission to the Mint Museum is free and guests can stroll through the most breathtaking works of art ever imagined.

9. The Epicentre

The Charlotte Epicentre is an open-air establishment that features some of the coolest restaurants and night clubs you will ever encounter. If you are looking to enjoy a great meal, some nice cocktails, and a night of dancing, this is the place to visit for a thrilling night on the town.

10. Bank of America Stadium

11. 7th Street Public Market

7th Street Public Market is a happening indoor market where a variety of Charlotte vendors sell unique food, beverages, and products .
