North Carolina has seen a BOOMING increase in population over the last ten years. But for good reason, we have perfect weather, perfect views, and nice people! There's a city for someone and no matter where you are, and it's guaranteed to be kid friendly.

1. We're an active state!
Between hiking, biking, surfing, parks, etc. North Carolina is a great state to be active in. We have endless options so you and the kiddos will never get bored, bonus, you'll stay pretty healthy and fit!
2. Our education is top notch.
North Carolina is ranked in the top percent for public education grades K-12. Our universities are nationally known and are some of the most competitive in the nation. But just remember, in-state tuition!
3. We also have awesome 'cultural' education as well.
With so many museums in the state, you'll never run out of weekend trips or things to explore. Places like Discovery Zone in Charlotte are a great place to take kids....they'll practically beg you to go back!
4. You'll never run out of things to do.
Spend twenty years here and you'll still have parks to see, mountains to climb, waves to surf, museums to visit, and new coasters to try at Carowinds.
5. Location, location, location.
Beach trips to Florida and Disney can easily be made with a roadtrip. Also, New York City, Washington D.C, even a trip to Atlanta or Charleston can easily be done by car. While you might want to fly (to some places), North Carolina is right on the coast with mountains to the west and not too far from a diverse option of states to explore.

Growing up here, the field trips are out of this world. With history dating back to the first settlers, there is always places to explore and new things to learn.

Each city in North Carolina caters to a specific industry, think Charlotte for finance, but at the same time, Charlotte is also extremely diverse and artistic. All major cities in North Carolina have something to offer in terms of diverse career opportunities and culture. You and your family are guaranteed to fit in somewhere.
8. Your children will be seasoned foodies by the age of 10.
North Carolina consistently ties with states like California when it comes to best restaurants in the nation. The food scene is unbeatable and ranges from down home delicious to out of this gastro inventions. We also have SO many amazing farmers markets throughout the state. Eating healthy and clean is easy!
9. The people are friendly and you can't beat southern hospitality.
You're sure to find a close-knit community of other families. Kids still play in the streets, friends and family gather for cookouts, and the sense of community is strong.
10. You'll never have to grow up.
Sure, there is adulthood, it does exist. But with the beach, the mountains, the perfect weather, the four seasons, it's almost like this state is magic..and with so much outdoor activities and so much beauty all around....it always keeps you a little young.
