If you find yourself in northwestern New York north of Watertown on Route 26, and are hungry for a friendly and hearty meal, you should stop by Jezi's Cafe. Jezi's Cafe is more than just a cafe. It offers excellent food, of course, but it also provides so much more to its local community including events, musical performances, and a wonderful space to hang out with friends and family. Best of all, it has some of the best panini sandwiches you'll every try. This roadside stop is something very special. Read on to learn more about it.
Desi Howard and Jessie Taylor of Theresa had a dream to open a cafe. In 2021, they bought some property on Commercial Street and renovated it. The property was first built by fishing lure maker, publisher, and inventor William D. Chapman in 1890. It was and is the perfect place in town for a cafe.
Now, Jezi's Cafe is the coolest and most happening place in town. There's plenty of outdoor seating in the courtyard.
There's also lots of comfortable inside seating if you prefer to eat and relax indoors.
Jezi's is a breakfast and brunch cafe and a coffeehouse, but it's also so much more. In addition to serving coffee and food, this establishment hosts fun events like movie nights, craft markets, family fun nights, farmers markets, holiday parties, musical performances, and other exciting community gatherings.
On top of all that, the food at Jezi's Cafe is fantastic. Everything is great there, but their panini sandwiches are especially tasty.
Jezi's paninis include the Hometown Panini (ham, American cheese, and mayo), the Caprese Panini (mozzarella, basil, tomato, garlic, balsamic glaze, and Italian seasonings), and the Pepperoni Panini (mozzarella, pepperoni, parmesan, and Italian seasoning), for starters.
Perhaps the post popular panini served at Jezi's, though, is The Beast. It's filled with turkey, ham, bacon, pepperjack, lettuce, onion, tomato, mayo, and Jezi's sauce. Wow!
Jezi's serves many other great options, too. Everything is scrumptious at Jezi's Cafe. Look at this mac n' cheese!
The lunch menu at Jezi's is fantastic, but so is the breakfast menu. If you're continuing on from here, you should pick up some snacks for the road.
The baked goods at Jezi's Cafe are all homemade and are made with love.
Jezi's makes excellent breakfast sandwiches and a wide variety of sweet treats.
Perhaps you'd like to grab a soft pretzel for later?
