Tucked away in Norwich, New York is one of the most unique museums in the state: the Northeast Classic Car Museum. From a pre-war collection of some of the first models of automobiles ever made to World War II-era plane engines, this collection is a must-see for anyone fascinated by the evolution of transportation. It's not difficult to explore these exquisite cars for hours on end.
The Northeast Classic Car Museum has more than 170 classic cars and 28 motorcycles in its beautiful collection in Norwich, New York.

From an incredible “Made in New York” exhibit to post-war vehicles from the 1940s to 1980s, this museum’s diverse collection of cars will have you perusing these gorgeous pieces of history for hours.

But the museum isn’t limited to cars; check out the World War I and World War II airplane engine exhibit, which contains some fascinating pieces like the 18-cylinder R-3350 Turbo B-29 Super Fortress Bomber Engine.
A significant part of the museum’s mission is to collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit vehicles related to the evolution of transportation, particularly the automobile.
The museum’s founder, George Staley, had a large collection of Franklins, a luxury car that was made in New York from 1902-1934. The museum’s “Fabulous Franklins” exhibit has some of the prettiest cars you’ve ever seen.

The museum even has a pre-war collection of cars that contain electric, steam and combustion engines. If you’ve never seen an authentic Model T, this is your chance! This collection also includes Knox, Scripps Booth, Hupmobile, Duesenberg and Packard models, along with a 1930 Henderson motorcycle.
There are also 30 tractors on display at the museum that serves to demonstrate the history of farming and tractors. Even for those who aren't particularly interested in cars, this museum is an interesting look into history and technology.
