While this year's COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of closures and changes to New York State, it's officially been announced that the most popular beach on Lake George will be open for the 2020 summer season.
That's right! If you were wondering where you would be able to cool down this summer, Million Dollar Beach in the village of Lake George is now one of several places you can swim at in this area of the Adirondack Mountains.
Considered to be the most popular and also the largest beach that you can find on Lake George, Million Dollar Beach sits right on the southern shores of the lake and has pristine views of the mountains.
Known for its clear waters that are refreshing to dip into and soft sand, Million Dollar Beach has lifeguards, picnic areas, a volleyball court, showers, and changing rooms for those who come here this summer.
For the 2020 season, Million Dollar Beach will be operating at 50% capacity - allowing 500 people into the beach and only 150 cars into the parking lot.
Open every day of the week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. as of June 20, 2020, if you're ready to enjoy social distancing at the beach, then consider making the trip up to Million Dollar Beach in Lake George.
