All over the state of New York, you can find zoos and wildlife preserves that will allow you the opportunity to get up close with all sorts of animals. Sadly, not all of these attractions remain open all year long, leaving us longing for some one-on-one time with four-legged friends during the off season. Thankfully for us, more and more places of business like cat cafes have begun to pop up all over the Empire State and you'll want to plan a visit to this one!
Out in New York's scenic Finger Lakes Region, Tompkins County is home to one of the most furry and fantastical places of business - Alley Cat Cafe.
The warm and vibrantly colored cafe can always be found full of smiling faces being worn on excited visitors of all ages.
You'll find several parts to this cafe, for starters there's the fact that you can enter the cat cafe to dine and grab some amazing drinks.
With adorably named drinks like their Meowchiatos and Catpuccinos, any cat lover will be eager to quench their thirst here.
As far as the food goes, you can snack away on small desserts and Kittea lattes...
...or opt for something more hearty like one of their many varieties of sandwiches that are wonderfully delicious.
Once you're done dining on the Alley Cat Cafe's tasty delights, you can explore the other areas of this place like their cat rooms!
With puddles of kittens and cats waiting to greet you, visitors can reserve 30-minute sessions for $5 dollars in either their Low Energy Room that has more mellow and cuddly cats or High Energy Room that's full of playful cats.
All of the cats at Alley Cat Cafe are brought here through Browncoat Cat Rescue, with the High Energy Room up front and visible from the seating areas of the cafe and the Low Energy Room quietly tucked away in the back.
If you're looking to adopt a feline friend in the Tompkins County area or are simply ready to unwind with a lap full of cats, plan a visit to Alley Cat Cafe in Ithaca and reserve your spot today!
