If you love animals and adrenaline, there's no better place to go than to the Adventure Aquarium on the Delaware River waterfront in Camden. This enormous aquarium is home to thousands of critters, from cuddly to creepy. Come check it out - and if you're brave enough, you can walk over a shark tank on a rope bridge.
Adventure Aquarium, in Camden, is one of the largest and most impressive aquariums in the country.
With over 8,000 resident animals and more than two million gallons of tank space, this marine marvel is a great place to spend the day.
The critters - including penguins, porcupines, hippos, and stingrays - live their lives in a variety of marine, freshwater, and semi-aquatic habitats made just for them.
There are a dozen different species of sharks living at Adventure Aquarium, and they are some of the guests' favorite attractions.
From hammerheads to Atlantic black tips, these enormous creatures are some of the most misunderstood on the planet. Oftentimes made out to be a villain, most sharks are docile and prefer to be left alone.
However... knowing that, it still takes quite a brave soul to cross the aquarium's infamous Shark Bridge.
As you walk, you'll be hovering over nearly 30 sharp-toothed sharks. You can watch them circle beneath you as the bridge wobbles just a little.
Are you brave enough to make the 81-foot walk? Kids love this adventure, but we've seen adults balk at it more than once.
Come hang out at the Adventure Aquarium, and spend the day learning about fish, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians... and then see if you're brave enough to dangle just feet above the biggest and baddest creatures that call this place home.
