It's officially sunflower season in New Jersey. Each farm is different, with blooms available from late July to early October. Most farms peak in late August to mid-September. When it comes to beautiful sunflower fields and pick-your-own opportunities, we've got plenty of options in New Jersey. It's no surprise, being that we're the Garden State. If you live in North Jersey, one fantastic option is Van Thun Farms in Washington. If you're in the southern half of our state, consider the delightful Dalton Farms.

Dalton Farm is a 99-acre family owned and run farm.
It offers a lovely 6-acre lake...
And 10 thriving beehives. They sell their own fresh honey.
Dalton Farms comes alive with color each spring thanks to some spectacular tulip fields.
They even offered a unique drive-through experience in 2020.
The farm is also a fantastic destination in the late summer and early fall when fields of sunflowers bloom.
Each year, over 1.2 million sunflowers are planted.
This year's season kicks off on August 29th with food, live music, a beer garden, and wine tastings.
As the season continues, there are several ways to see the sunflowers. You can take a self-guided walking tour, pick your own stems, or enjoy a drive-through adventure. This is great for families and photographers who want to enjoy the flowers from the safety of their car.The prices are currently (at post time) listed as follows: Sunflowers are $2 per stem and 10 for $10. Admission is $10 per person and will be given in 2-hour time slots. They must be purchased in advance online. The drive-through experience is $20 per car. The farm will be open daily through September.
