If you're in the mood for a fun outdoor getaway in New Jersey, you're in luck: There are so many amazing places to go camping throughout the state! You can explore New Jersey's many forests, mountains, and lakes in everything from a camper van to a cabin to a tent.
A personal favorite of ours is actually a lesser-known one: Parvin State Park, which offers a beautiful, waterfront camping area.
Parvin State Park, which is in Pittsgrove, New Jersey is such a wonderful place for camping.
It's beautiful! Just look at the lake.
There are 54 tent and trailer sites located on the south shore of Parvin Lake.
Each site comes with a fire ring, picnic table, and a lantern hook. Six people and two vehicles are allowed per site.
Imagine waking up each morning to this lake view.
And yes, you can go swimming, kayaking, and canoeing on the lake during the summer while lifeguards are on duty.
Looking for more of a "glamping" experience? There are 18 cabins available to rent.
They, too, have a waterfront location: You'll find them on the shore of Thundergust Lake.
Each cabin can fit four people and comes with some nice amenities.
There is a living room with a fireplace or wood burning stove, fire rings, kitchen with running water, a bathroom, electricity, and a brick patio with a table and grill.
Parvin State Park is a wonderful place to camp, too, because there is so much fun to be found here.
In addition to lake activities, there are plenty of hiking trails to explore and lots of wildlife to see.
So, head out to Parvin State Park to experience nature and have a glorious camping experience.
