New Jersey has a fantastic selection of well-known beaches, including several that have garnered national praise. Cape May is certainly one of the most charming places on the East Coast, Asbury Park is a cultural gem with a rich rock n' roll history and who hasn't enjoyed the boardwalk on Point Pleasant Beach? While Ocean City and Wildwood draw massive crowds from all over the country, we also have a multitude of lesser-known beaches. Some are tiny and tucked away but others are like this...
Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park offers 38 acres of fun, including a beautiful beach.
Part of the Monmouth County Park System, it's a local favorite, but little-known outside of Long Branch.
The park's beach is perfect for swimming, sunbathing and surfing.
Season passes are affordable ($25-$70, depending on age - senior discounts available) and worth every penny.
Passes are worth every penny as the beach is clean and well-kept. And the park is perfect for families.
Amenities include an activity center, boat launch, sand volleyball and snack bar.
There's also a skate park, but the playground is one of the biggest draws.
The playground is "Universally (ADA) Accessible," an is made to accommodate children of all ages and abilities.
The beach is also known for its dunes and unique ecological habitats.
While you can pack a picnic, there are wonderful places to eat nearby including Strollo's Lighthouse (Italian Ice), Amy's Omelette House (great breakfast!) and WindMill Hotdogs (an iconic Jersey chain).
