Meals come in lots of shapes and sizes. Some are served on white tablecloths and the reviews from experts give five-stars. Others can be found in unlikely places at the side of the road, down a dirt road or another tucked-away corner. But, our favorites are almost always the surprises. And some people might find shocking is that this little truck stop offers some of the best meals you can find!

Imagine that you've been looking at this view for hours. It's beautiful, but it's a long haul and you're ready for a break. You don't need to be driving a truck to have this scenario play out. And you don't need to be a truck driver to be excited when you finally come to TJ's Truck Stop in Lancaster. In fact, you might even want to hop in the car and head there as a destination!

The place is small. And if you're paying attention you might just think it's another convenience store at a gas station. But, while TJ's does carry some things you might need while you're on the road, we think of this place as more of a restaurant and you should too.

Things inside are simple. No frills, table cloths, no pretense. The staff here is friendly and you'll immediately feel at-home.

But, no restaurant can be considered good just for friendly service. You've got to have great food and TJ's nails it! The breakfast options are plentiful and when there's a buffet it's overflowing. Just look at this plate!

They also have plenty of specials which gives you a good excuse to check back in often to try something new.

Create your own combination or go with one of theirs.

And if you're lucky enough to time your visit with lunch or dinner, you'll be thankful! Their burgers are great.

And the plates here are huge. You'll probably feel like you're in a diner.
