Although Jackson is a bit more spread out than other towns, there are plenty of destinations that make it well worth a visit.
One of the main draws of Jackson is its natural surroundings. In the heart of the White Mountains, Jackson is the perfect place to connect with nature.
There are miles of cross country ski trails, and some of the most well-known downhill ski mountains in the state.
There are also positively stunning water ways, include Jackson and Glen Ellis Falls.
The Ellis river is stunning year-round.
For some classic shopping and local charm, head to Flossy's General store at 21 Main Street. You never know what you'll find, but it's sure to be exciting!
And be sure to enjoy the winter adornments around town.
You may even see some magnificent snow sculptures.
During the winter you might catch a horse and carriage trotting down main street on a tour from Nestlenook Farm.
Jackson also has great dining options. For lunch or dinner head to Red Fox Bar and Grille, at 49 Route 16 in Jackson. There you can enjoy wood-fired pizzas, hand-cut fries and even fine-dining items. Whatever you order, it will be delicious.
