Some of our favorite dining experiences in the country have been right here in New Hampshire. Of course, we might be biased. But, how can we have any other opinion when we've got access to restaurants in historic schoolhouses and up in the mountains? We love them all, but the most unique restaurant in New Hampshire might just be this one in North Hampton!
The Airfield Cafe in North Hampton is perfect for anyone with a love of air travel. Of course, anyone who loves great food can't help but appreciate this place, too.
The cafe got its start in 1996 operating as a simple restaurant with plastic forks and plates. And, the dining room was set up in the actual kitchen!
Over time they've expanded to offer a designated dining are for visitors to enjoy their meals. And, just in case the location at the side of an active airfield isn't enough, the indoor decor is enough to remind you where you are.
Of course, you can also head outside in the warmer months to sit directly on the airfield.
While it might be hard to focus on the meal while watching the small planes move around, as soon as you see the menu your focus will be on digging in.
Breakfast plates are huge! And they frequently offer seasonal goodies, like these pumpkin pancakes.
Crab cake Benedict is another specialty we love.
If you miss breakfast, there's plenty to choose from on the lunch menu. Burgers, sandwiches and salads promise to keep you full all day.
Best of all, there's no long security line to enjoy this food!
