Throughout the year we have the chance to celebrate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and all sorts of other fun and important occasions. But when November and December roll around, we've got our work cut out for us! A variety of holidays come all at once, which means lots of planning and a good amount of money. In years past we've shopped all over, but this year we're making an effort to stay local. And these shops are a great way to do it!

4. Hermit Woods Winery & Deli, Meredith
If you can't spend a fun day out at this winery, spend a fun day in which enjoying one of their signature drinks! You can order straight from the website, but when the spring rolls around plan on making a visit in-person. Whoever receives this gift might just demand it!
5. Laurel Hill Jams & Jellies, Bedford
This local Bedford operation churns out some of the best homemade jams and jellies we've tried, but it's the wine jellies that folks seem to love for the holidays. They can be ordered online and arrive in a homemade box to make things extra-special. Check them out here!
