There are tons of places to enjoy the outdoors in New Hampshire. We especially love that most of those spots can be visited any time of year. And in many cases, they're even better in the winter. This is definitely not one of those! This playground and splash pad is a warm-weather attraction that you'll end up visiting multiple times throughout the season. With a giant beach pail that drops water and plenty of room to spread out, kids will love coming here as much as adults will enjoy the fact that it keeps them so entertained!
The Dupont Splash Pad in Manchester offers a great way for local residents to cool off when temperatures get extra-hot.
It's located where the pool once sat and while we love the idea of a place to swim, this spot is almost more fun!
The splash pad is simple. You'll find a variety of water features dotted across a concrete park area with plenty of room to spread out.
The fact that it's unfussy and casual is what makes it so easy and fun to visit. Head to Mason Street on the west side of town, park and find a space to spread out. That's it!
Kids will want to run immediately to the water. The main feature here is the giant beach pail that slowly fills with water.
Once it's at capacity, the bucket topples over for the ultimate surprise cool-down!
For those that don't want to get wet, there's also a playground here to enjoy.
And, of course, like most places in New Hampshire this one is great for simply relaxing.
Bring the kids and someone to watch them and enjoy the view from afar! This is an easy, no-travel-required way to enjoy the outdoors and we think you'll love it as much as we do.
The Dupont Splash Pad is open every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for Manchester residents. Visitors from other towns can visit from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Remember to bring your ID with you and make sure all children under 13 are accompanied by an adult. While going barefoot is fine, water shoes are recommended. You can learn more about what to expect by checking out the official website. You can also follow Manchester Parks & Recreation on Facebook. The office can be reached on 603-624-6444.
To cool off in a more natural way, we've got a great place for you to visit. You can discover a pristine paradise when you visit New Hampshire's Newfound Lake.
