Nevada is home to some of the most haunted hotels you'll ever stay at. As a matter of fact, some of the hotels are so scary that you'll probably be packing your bags and checking out much earlier than you had originally planned. Let's take a look at 10 of the most haunted hotels in Nevada.
1. Silver Queen Hotel - Virginia City, NV
It's believed that this hotel is haunted by a woman named Rosie - a prostitute who committed suicide in Room 11.
2. Boulder Dam Hotel - Boulder City, NV
Visitors have reported several ghostly activities here such as the feeling of a hand on their shoulder or hands coming through the floor and grabbing one of their ankles. YIKES!!!
3. Thunderbird Lodge - Incline Village, NV
Built in 1936, this lodge is haunted by the ghost of a painter who visits the pool room. While at the lodge one day many years ago, he fell off of a ladder to his death and has been haunting the lodge ever since.
4. Mizpah Hotel - Tonopah, NV
The Mizpah Hotel is supposedly haunted by a few prostitutes from its early days. The most famous prostitute, "Lady in Red," is known to touch men's hair or rub up against them.
5. Goldfield Hotel - Goldfield, NV
This historic hotel has been featured on many television shows and it's believed to have a lot of paranormal activity going on. Supposedly, Room 109 is haunted by a pregnant woman, and there's also a ghost that stabs people who visit the hotel. CREEPY!!!
6. Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino / Aladdin - Las Vegas, NV
When this hotel was known as the Aladdin Hotel & Casino, the Panorama Suite on the 7th floor was rumored to be haunted. Now that it's been renamed Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino, this suite is still believed to be haunted. Guests have reported waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of a ghost trying to get in through the door. Guests have also reported hearing whispers in the hallway, but when they look outside their door, nobody is there.
7. Santa Fe Inn - Winnemucca, NV
Many guests of the Santa Fe Inn have reported seeing ghostly figures in their room. Several guests have also reported hearing strange noises.
8. Luxor Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas, NV
Supposedly, the ghost of a former workman who died during Luxor Hotel & Casino's construction haunts the hotel's corridors.
9. Sugarloaf Mountain Motel - Virginia City, NV
Inside Sugarloaf Mountain Motel's "Doll Room," guests have reported hearing heavy breathing, loud footsteps, and doors opening and closing on their own.
10. Gold Hill Hotel - Gold Hill, NV
Gold Hill Hotel, built in 1859, is haunted by a few miners who died in a tragic accident nearby. The ghost of the hotel's former owner, William, and the ghost of the former housekeeper, Rosie, has also been seen hanging around the hotel.
