Wyoming is one of the most underrated states in the country. And those of us who live here enjoy keeping our natural wonders all to ourselves - case in point, the often crowd-free Hobo Hot Springs. One of the best winter getaways in Wyoming, the heated pools are a prime spot for soaking, relaxing, and stargazing. As an added bonus, Hobo Hot Springs is open 24 hours a day, only further confirming its status as one of the best hot springs in Wyoming.
The tiny town of Saratoga has a BIG reputation - and it's all thanks to its natural hot springs.
These natural pools, which were nicknamed Hobo Hot Springs, are located along the North Platte River. Unlike many natural hot springs in Wyoming, these are cool enough to soak in.
The hot springs quickly grew into a popular tourist attraction, thanks to the relaxing and healing appeal of the mineral water. And so, the town built the Hobo Hot Spring bath house.
Today, you can soak, swim, and relax in the geothermally heated water. It's cooled down to between 109-119 degrees - hot enough for a therapeutic soak!
For generations, travelers have been stopping in Saratoga to have their troubles melted away by the hot water of the Hobo Hot Springs.
The Saratoga Hobo Hot Pool is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can soak under the stars any time you need to relax...or warm up, making the hot springs one of the top winter getaways in Wyoming!
For a traditional swim, there's the Municipal Pool, which is right next to the Hot Pool and open seasonally.
So, what do you think? Are these the best hot springs in Wyoming? Know of other great winter getaways in Wyoming? Whatever it is, tell us!
