Who doesn't love a wine tasting? Getting to sip and sample wines you've never had before while you enjoy food pairings that enhance the flavor is pretty much the perfect way to spend a night. Having someone explain the wine and help you understand why you do or don't like it is even better. But it turns out there is a way to make this already awesome activity even better.

What would be better than hanging out with this face? How about sampling some delicious wine while you get to interact with these alpacas up close and personally?

LondonDairy Alpacas is a small alpaca farm near Two Rivers. The owner here is a fourth generation farmer on this land. His ancestors raised dairy cows and bottled the milk on site to deliver to Two Rivers customers. Now that bottling building is home to an Alpaca gift store.

This charming spot is one of the longest functioning, most established alpaca ranches in the Midwest, starting in 1995. The owner is a former agriculture teacher, so any visit here is chock full of information. Come for the adorable, fluffy alpacas, but leave with a vast amount of knowledge about alpacas and their fiber.

As if getting to meet and hang out with alpacas isn't a big enough draw, LondonDairy also hosts events, opening up the farm to visitors for a variety of different reasons. You might get to take part of an alpaca yoga event or, like this upcoming weekend, share some wine with this fabulous furry friends.

The event includes a tasting of six different South American wines and food pairings. There is live acoustic music, a silent auction, and the Alpaca Threads store is open for browsing. You must be 21 years old to attend the event. Tickets are $20 each and are limited to 60 total.

The charming farm is the perfect spot to meet new friends of the human and alpaca-variety, relax, sip some wine and have a special Saturday evening.

Alpacas aren't particularly prolific in America. Most alpacas continue to live in Peru, Bolivia, and Chile, where they were used as transport animals by locals. There are fewer than 300,000 alpacas in the US. That's part of what makes this farm and this event so special.

Make sure you're camera-ready, primp for some selfies, and prepare for one of the coolest, most unusual wine tastings you've ever taken part in.
