Lakeside Park is located on the southern end of Lake Winnebago, the largest inland lake in Wisconsin. It’s a wonderful spot, even if you only wanted to sit and gaze at the water.
The 400-acre park is a tranquil spot, filled with trees, waterways, and bridges. There’s even a lighthouse on the lake’s shore!
A small train is one of the most popular rides – it takes riders on a short little trip through the park. Kids can’t resist climbing aboard!
If you want to bring a picnic, go ahead and load up the cooler. There are several grills available and some nice spots in the shade to enjoy a meal.
The park also has a mini petting zoo and a throwback carousel. It’s a wonderful spot to get some pictures!
Allow plenty of time to stroll the park’s winding network of trails. Kids will also want some time to enjoy the park’s expansive playground.
Lakeside Park is not a big commercial enterprise, and that’s part of its charm.
