There's nothing like summertime in Milwaukee! We're one city that is full of outdoor activities, from kayaking on the river to boating on the lake.
Located in Riverside Park, you'll find a roughly 2.5 mile paved path that will take you through some beautiful scenery. Whether you're a skilled hiker or just here for fun, this is an excellent leisurely hike for you and the whole family.
We'll start at Milwaukee's Urban Ecology Center, an environmental education center right in the heart of the city along Riverside Park.
Here you'll find the Milwaukee Rotary Centennial Arboretum, which begins a roughly 2.5-mile leisurely hike!
Throughout the paved path, you'll find endless community art and all of the installments have plaques to learn more.
To get to the next landmark you'll find a few stairs, but don't worry, this trail is ADA accessible.
This isn't your ordinary hike, and you may come across some manmade materials.
Get ready to lose yourself in fields of flowers as we enter the next step of the trail!
Along the path, you'll learn about how the community has contributed to all of this beauty. All of these pieces of art were donated!
Be sure to stop and smell the flowers, as there is no shortage of them! You won't be alone on this hike—if you listen closely you can hear the buzzing of dragonflies around the rushing water in distance.
As you move forward, you'll run into the one and only Milwaukee River!
In the summertime, the river is bustling with wildlife. If you're lucky, you may come across some friendly kayakers!
Take your time and enjoy the scenic trail as you hike beside the river.

Kick back and enjoy your view before you take the trek back to the beginning.
