Tucked away just off U.S. 219 (Seneca Trail) is a beautiful, 200-year-old farmhouse overlooking miles of farmland in historic Monroe County, and if you can snag it for a night or two, we definitely recommend it as an excellent space to relax and rejuvenate!
Have you ever taken the time to explore Monroe County?
It's located along the eastern border of the state, just below Greenbrier County, and it's gorgeous.
Historically, Monroe County is a farming community, and you can expect to find vistas of gently rolling fields stretching toward the distant mountain peaks.
Plus, the area is full of history, including many original, hand-hewn log farmhouses.
And you can stay in one of them (although the original logs have been sided and plastered for protection) to experience all the charm of a beautifully renovated, wonderfully kept mountain farm.
The Farm House, which is available on Airbnb for around $90/night, boasts 3 bedrooms, a spacious living area, and gorgeous views.
It's perched on a hill overlooking neighboring farms.
Imagine sipping a cup of tea and savoring a delicious slice of bundt cake baked fresh by your host, all while taking in this serene front porch view!
