We recommend spending two or three days covering this trail, unless you can eat a ridiculous number of tacos in a day.

1. Trejo’s Mexican Restaurant, 1833 W Court St., Pasco
Trejo's is one of quite a few places serving excellent authentic Mexican food. Stop in and order a combination of traditional street tacos and Tacos Dorados. Definitely try the tasty tacos, but don't forget to order such favorites as the burritos and the enchiladas. Trejo's tacos have even been crowned, by some who have eaten there, "the best tacos around."

2. 5 Salsas, 2105 S 1st St., Yakima
Next, find this taco truck on First Street in Yakima (typically open Wednesday - Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.). As the name indicates, they do serve five homemade salsas, which you can drizzle on the best tacos ever. Those homemade salsas? Well, you'll have to choose which spiciness you prefer. If you like your salsa really hot, try La Perrona (The Awesome One), which is the hottest of all of the salsas. For the mildest, order the De Mi Vieja (the Wifey's Salsa).

3. Fidelina’s Taqueria,410 S Main St., Ellensburg
Our next stop brings us to Fidelina's Taqueria. The colorful Mexican restaurant's tacos entice both Ellensburg locals and those just passing through on road trips. Treat yourself to the tasty tacos - available in a variety of options. If you've got room for more food, you might also want to try the burritos and the quesadillas.

4. Taqueria La Fondita, 3737 S G St., Tacoma
Are you ready for the next stop on this tasty taco trail? We're heading to Tacoma, where we'll learn what the locals already know. Taqueria La Fondita has some of the best tacos in the city. Your biggest challenge will be deciding what type to order - the pork or the fish tacos, for example? The food truck has, according to those who have eaten there, some of the very best tacos in Washington.

5. Fonda La Catrina, 5905 Airport Way S, Seattle
Everything on the menu at Fonda La Catrina is exceptional, especially the delicious tacos. Try such scrumptious options as the all-natural beef taco, the pork taco, or the beef tongue taco. You might also want to sample such favorites as the tortas, the enchiladas, and the tamales.This place is an underrated treasure.
