We've got an impressive 100 state parks here in Washington, some of which are pretty fantastic. But while some attract an abundance of locals and out-of-state tourists alike, a few of our state parks remain under-the-radar. Lincoln Rock State Park falls somewhere between those two extremes — while it's certainly a popular place to visit and camp, it also happens to be extremely underrated.
Lincoln Rock State Park is located about 7 miles north of East Wenatchee on the east side of the Columbia River's Lake Entiat.
The 86-acre camping park has an abundance of outdoor opportunities for nature lovers.
It's impossible to describe the rugged beauty of this part of the state until you experience it for yourself.
The rich, mauve hills of the Columbia River are truly spectacular.
Needless to say, water sports are extremely popular here.
The park has 94 campsites, 32 of which are full-hookup sites.
You can also rent one of the 12 onsite cabins.
In some parts of the park, you can even camp right on the river.
Who needs a four-star hotel when you can enjoy nature this way?
When you need to stretch your legs, the Rocky Reach Trail at the park is the perfect place.
The trail, which is paved and ADA-accessible, connects to the Apple Capital Loop Trail, a paved path that stretches southwest to Wenatchee Confluence State Park.
The park even has a group camp, which can accommodate up to 50 people.
It's right next to the sports fields, sport courts, playground, and swim beach. Talk about the ultimate family reunion or special occasion.
Come take in the beauty of this beautifully unique park.
Even if you can only make a day trip happen, you'll return home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Reservations for camping at Lincoln Rock State Park can be made here. Here are a few others worth exploring.
