You can't deny that Washington is amazing all year, but there's something uniquely special about our state during the fall! Here are 10 reasons why autumn is the best season in the Northwest:
1. The air is cooler while hiking now, so you're at just the right temp.
Not to mention all of the beautiful fall landscapes there are to see!
2. Our state fruit is in season and they taste fresher than ever!
And you can make them into some delicious apple pies! Here's where you can pick your own fruit this season.
3. It's finally time to break out the warm flannel, hoodies, and cozy socks.
You know it's a great season when you can slip into something so comfy!
4. The sound of rain can be pretty relaxing.
The Eastern side of the state may not get as much precipitation during the fall, but residents on the Western half can enjoy the calming sounds of rain this season!
5. College sports are back!
And the Seahawks too!
6. Sipping on a hot drink on a cool day is just so comforting!
Apple cider, hot chocolate, and pumpkin spice lattes are some delicious seasonal favorites!
7. Campfires are the BEST this time of year.
They're awesome during the other seasons too, but staying warm by the fire while you're out in the cool fall air is amazing!
8. We can carve some hilarious and creative pumpkins as it gets closer to Halloween.
And picking your own pumpkin from the local patch is something everyone needs to experience!
9. There is some of the best beer to drink at the Oktoberfest celebration in our state's Bavarian village!
The festival in Leavenworth starts on October 2nd this year and runs the first three weekends in October (excluding Sundays)!
10. The scenery around us this season is just so photogenic!
Between the fiery red leaves to the golden larches, could you ever get tired of looking at all of this stunning fall foliage?
