Hiking season is officially upon us here in Washington. And if you're planning a trip to the Olympic Peninsula this year, hiking the Marymere Falls Trail is a must. Not only is it an absolutely beautiful trail, but it's a nice, easy trek.
The Marymere Falls trailhead is located near Port Angeles.
You'll depart from the Storm King Ranger Station near the shores of Lake Crescent.
The trail is only about 1.8 miles long, and it's a nice, easy, in-and-out adventure.
The elevation gain is only about 300 feet, and there are no sharp climbs.
You'll reach Marymere Falls after about a mile of hiking.
The waterfall is breathtaking, with the waters cascading 90 feet to the ground.
You'll have fantastic views of the waterfall, so make sure to take plenty of pictures.

This nice, simple hike is totally family-friendly, although you'll need to leave your pets at home...
... because you've got a great chance at spotting some wildlife on your hike.
As you can see, sword ferns and carpets of moss line most of the trail, making it all look nice and lush.
This is a fantastic day hike and a great place to stretch your legs while you explore the Olympic Peninsula.
