If you're looking for a site in Washington state that has breathtaking views and impressive history, make a point to stop and see the Dry Falls in the Grand Coulee. This scenic outdoor spot is the result of the Ice Age floods of around 15,000 years ago and one of the most jaw-dropping natural wonders to visit in the state.
During the Ice Age, the Dry Falls was the site of an active waterfall. Nowadays, the landscape is a mixture of basalt, plunge pools, and groundwater-fed lakes. It's also home to local wildlife and a popular destination for locals and tourists.
Dry Falls is 3.5 miles wide and 400 feet in depth.

The basin is filled with some of the freshest water in the state.
